John Nelson Langdon
December 6, 1931 ~ October 7, 2023
A lifetime resident of Myersville, Nelson devoted his life to serving others. After serving in the military, he worked for many years with Erie Insurance, retiring as vice president and claims manager. He was a lifetime member of the Wolfsville Ruritan Club, a founder of the Catoctin Gas & Engine Show, and he was active in many other community groups. He is lovingly remembered by daughters Robin and Regina and many others, including his Shepherd’s Staff caregivers. His family expressed appreciation to Tina, Alex, and Sam, “who had the knack for getting him to do things he didn’t necessarily want to do” and Tina and Rashiydah “for showing such care and respect on his final day.”
