Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Blaylock, and leaves behind her beloved daughter Kathleen Dilley and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She managed an in-home daycare for 31 years, loving too many children to count, and finished her career working for Hallmark and Frederick Memorial Hospital. After retirement, she enjoyed snowbirding and serving her church, Faith Baptist, where she worked in the church’s clothes closet and kitchen. Janet spent her final days loved and embraced by her daughter and grandchildren.

A resident of Libertytown, Rosalie was a very active, dedicated, and beloved parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, where she served in the Ladies Club and sang in the choir. Rosalie graduated from Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville and had a 30-year career at the Department of Energy in D.C. She loved her family deeply; her children and grandchildren say she was the perfect daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and colleague and an expert at making people feel special and loved. She is irreplaceable and will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, James worked as a cartographer for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration until retiring in 1996. He leaves behind Norma, his wife of nearly 62 years, son James Schad II and daughter Jeanette, as well as a twin sister, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his devoted family and the SSIC caregivers who have served him for the past six years.

David passed away peacefully at home at the age of 101, with Sylvia, his wife of 77 years, at his side. Truly one of the “Greatest Generation,” he proudly served his country in WWII for four years, both in Europe and the Pacific. A resident of Country Meadows Retirement Community for the past five years, David was loved by the residents and staff for the kindness and appreciation he showed to all. He started a veteran’s group there at the age of 95, arranging monthly luncheons with speakers from local military groups. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
